Buckhead mansion in Tuxedo Park neighborhood sells for $3.7 million

A mansion at 3303 Chatham Road in Buckhead’s Tuxedo Park neighborhood has sold for $3.7 million, a little below the listing price of nearly $4 million, according to a report by the Atlanta Business Chronicle.

The 8,251-square-foot estate was built in 1982, sits on 2.1 acres and has four bedrooms, five full-baths and one half-bath. Features include a wine cellar, full gym with spa, a bath next to the heated pool/spa, an exercise room, a family room, a library/office and a media room, according to the ABC report.

The home was listed by Debra Johnston with Berkshire Hathaway Luxury Collection.

Although Johnston would not disclose the name of the buyer, she did confirm it was the recent seller of the 13,118-square-foot mansion at 1867 West Wesley that recently sold for $5.65 million. A nearly $2 million profit for the seller/buyer is not bad financial planning for the future. (To read the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s story, click here.)

      Bought for $7.25MM in 2007
      Tried to sell several times
      Sold for $5.65MM
      = Loss of $1.60MM
