Man found dead in vehicle in north Buckhead McDonald’s parking lot
The medical examiner was on the scene at 4:30 p.m. to investigate and determine the cause of death, said Atlanta police spokesperson Officer Lukasz Sajdak. It does not appear as though the man was shot, the officer said. The investigation is still ongoing.
The manager of the McDonald’s called 911 after finding a man not breathing in his vehicle in the restaurant’s parking lot. While conducting their investigation of the death, police learned the manager, who had found the dead man and called 911, had an active warrant for his arrest.
“The manager attempted to run from police but was apprehended,” Sajdak said. “At this time there appears to be no direct relation between the manager’s warrant and the male deceased in the car.”
