Jeffrey Fashion Cares event Aug. 29 at Phipps raises $800,000 for 2 charities

The 24th Annual Jeffrey Fashion Cares event on Aug. 29 raised about $800,000 for Susan G. Komen Greater Atlanta and the Atlanta AIDS Fund, including more than $100,000 from the event’s silent and live auctions.Fashion Cares2

For the second year in a row, Jeffrey Fashion Cares was held at the recently renovated Phipps Plaza in Buckhead. The yearly event marks the start of Atlanta’s fall social season and is one of the largest combined AIDS and breast cancer benefits in the country.

The 2016 runway show featured Jeffrey Kalinsky’s style selections from high-end designers such as Lanvin, Celine, Christian Dior, Givenchy, Gucci, Valentino, Dries van Noten, Saint Laurent Paris, Balenciaga, Christian Louboutin and Manolo Blahnik.

Event chairs Lila Hertz, Jeffrey McQuithy and Louise Sams worked with Kalinsky in producing the event.
