Buckhead Heritage Exec. Director Erica Danylchak leaving after 6+ years
“We will miss her, but, of course, wish her the best in her new opportunity,” wrote Buckhead Heritage President James M. Ottley in an email to the organization’s members.
“Although it was a very difficult decision for her to leave Buckhead Heritage, she felt that this new opportunity was the right move at the right time for her career and professional development,” Ottley added.
In years at Buckhead Heritage, Danylchak has worked with the board of directors to expand the organization’s educational and outreach programming, broaden its communications initiatives, and increase its overall funding. She has also overseen the implementation of key projects.
“She managed the development of the award-winning Buckhead Master Interpretive Plan; worked closely with the new owners of the historic Randolph-Lucas House to help facilitate the building’s relocation; curated the exhibit Buckhead: Our Story at the Buckhead Theatre; and directed the development of the Sardis Methodist Church and Cemetery National Register nomination,” Ottley wrote.
Buckhead Heritage is forming a search committee to find the replacement for Danylchak as executive director.
