Coalition grants $6,000 in Guidebook ad revenues to 6 Buckhead Schools

The Buckhead Coalition is continuing its annual tradition of sharing the advertising revenues from its annual Buckhead Guidebook with area nonprofits by distributing $6,000 to six public school foundations.

The six public school foundations include: Morris Brandon, Garden Hills, Warren Jackson, E. Rivers, and Sarah Smith elementary education institutions, and North Atlanta High School.

The “Buckhead Guidebook” is now in its 22 year and has given in this fashion almost $140,000 to-date.

The standard procedure for such organization directories is to serve as profit centers. The Coalition, however, has a policy against collecting funds from the public for its operations, and sponsors this periodical as a means of disseminating data to help brand the community.

Coalition President Sam Massell complimented the six school reps, recalling how his era “was pleased to raise $25 from sales of pennants and beanies and how significant a foundation can be today in a partnership between the academic institutions and building public-private relations through parents and other friends.”
