Shops Buckhead Atlanta to start outdoor market May 1

The Shops Buckhead Atlanta plans to launch The Market, an outdoor food event, on Sunday, May 1, as part of a whole weekend of events and activities.

The Market will feature fresh produce, flowers, baked goods, handmade pasta, cold pressed juices, fresh baked bread, coffee, honey, jams & jellies, local art, organic fruits & vegetables, and much more. The Market will run every Sunday from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM starting on Sunday, May 1 at Bolling Way between Corso Coffee and Hermès.

Although few details are available, The Shops Buckhead Atlanta’s Facebook page is telling followers to stay tuned for details on participating vendors.

In addition to the Market on Sunday, The First Friday of every month from 6:00 – 9:00 PM, The Shops Buckhead Atlanta is hosting an outdoor block party in Center Plaza, which will boast live music and entertainment, drink specials and much more. For the Kick Off of Signature First Fridays on May 6, we will have live music from DJ Raetone of YACHT ROCK and Sailing to Denver, as well as fun activations from Off Centered Performers. We will also have $5 drink specials from Sweetwater Brewing and special signature cocktails.

And on Saturday, April 30, The Shops Buckhead Atlanta guests can view exclusive vintage and new Ferraris on display and chat with their owners while sipping a Corso Cappuccino. Ferraris and Cappuccinos will be held every third Saturday of the month, beginning on April 30 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM through September. The Ferraris will be parked on Bolling Way between Corso Coffee and Hermès.

To top it all off, The Shops Buckhead Atlanta is offering complimentary three-hour self-parking during the events.

In recent weeks, The Shops leasing agents have reached out to the community to ask what residents would like to see at Buckhead Atlanta. Many responded that there was a need for a market of some sort, as well as more family-friendly street events.

One Response to Shops Buckhead Atlanta to start outdoor market May 1

A suggestion that might be helpful to the shops at buckhead Atlanta might be to incorporate art/art galleries unto the retail mix. Also some outdoor art installations. The Miami Design District would be a good model to look at. It is a center for both shopping and art, and is quite successful. The district also has some of the same retail tenants as the shops at buckhead Atlanta.
