LBI to offer dietary choice: Food truck Tuesdays, ‘Fit Fridays’

Livable Buckhead (LBI) is launching lunchtime events that can help you either stay fit or chow down—the choice can be yours.

Fit FridaysTo combat afternoon slumps in enthusiasm and focus, LBI wants you to take a walk during the lunch hour … and what better place to do it than on PATH400?

Starting Friday, April 15th, Livable Buckhead is promoting Fit Fridays on PATH400. Each Friday until May 20, Livable Buckhead staff will be on the greenway at lunchtime, with surprise giveaways to help encourage you to get up from your desk and get a little exercise.

If you prefer to chow down for lunch, beginning Tuesday, April 26th, Buckhead residents and workers will have the opportunity to enjoy some of Atlanta’s finest food trucks.

Presented by Livable Buckhead and organized by Atlanta Creative Events, three food trucks will be available at Tower Place Park in front of 3348 Peachtree (formerly Tower Place 200) every Tuesday from 11:00am – 2:30pm. The event will run through the fall. Tables and field games will be provided.

So, if you want, you can chow down on Tuesdays and then walk it off on Fridays.

“Livable Buckhead is all about doing things that add some spice to life in this area and provide a sense of community, and food trucks are a perfect fit,” said Denise Starling, executive director of Livable Buckhead. “These events will get people out of their offices and enjoying time with co-workers and friends as they sample food from some of the best trucks in Atlanta.” Or, maybe stroll PATH400.
