Registration lottery now open for 2016 AJC Peachtree Road Race

The registration lottery for the 2016 AJC Peachtree Road Race, Monday, July 4, is now open, allowing entrants to sign up for the lottery as an individual or group of up to 10 people.

To accommodate those who would like to participate in the race with their family and friends, the lottery registration system allows up to 10 people to enter the lottery as a group. All individuals Road Race 1wanting to be part of a group must fill out a registration form during the lottery.

Those who want to skip the lottery but have a guaranteed entry can purchase a charity entry for $150, which benefits the Kilometer Kids.

The lottery registration fee is $38 per individual plus applicable processing fees. The selected individual can pick up their race number at Peachtree Health and Fitness Expo for free or pay an extra $14 fee per entry to receive the race number by mail.

Those who register for the lottery to enter the 2016 AJC Peachtree Road Race will not have their credit card charged at this time. They will only be charged if they are selected in the lottery. The lottery is limited to one entry per person. Duplicate entries will be removed.

During the selection process, if a group is selected, everyone in the group will receive an entry. If a group is not selected through the lottery, no one in the group will receive entry into the event. A group entering the lottery has an equal chance to an individual of getting selected.

If starting a group, select “Start a Group” when registering. If joining a group that has already been created, select “Join a Group” from the options.

Start wave placement is performance based. Each individual within a registered group will be placed in the appropriate start wave based on the finish time submitted during registration. Entry as a group does not guarantee placement in the same start wave.

Several options are being offered at additional cost to those registering for the race:
• Triple Peach Package, $100, includes entry to the Atlanta 10 Miler and Thanksgiving Day Half Marathon.
• In-Training for Peachtree, $65.
• In-Training for Peachtree (Mizuno Upgrade Package), $140, includes training and voucher for Mizuno shoes valued at $120 or less.
• Commemorative Shirt, $32.50 (All commemorative shirts will be mailed by April 15.)
• Commemorative Medal, $15 (If you pick up your race number at the Expo, you will pick up your medal at the same time. If you choose to receive your race number by mail, your medal will be shipped in June.)
• MarathonFoto Certificate, $35 now to receive $50 toward your post-race MarathonFoto order.
• Kilometer Kids Donation (To support Atlanta Track Club’s youth running program)
