Buckhead Coalition honors NAHS mid-year academic achievements

Adding to its annual scholarships for academic/civic/entrepreneurship of North Atlanta High students, the Buckhead Coalition has added an acknowledgement for mid-year academic achievement, done in the name of its NAHS Liaison Committee chaired by Paul Brown.

Brown is a director of the Coalition, and Chief Executive Officer of Arby’s Restaurant Group, Inc. As head of the School Liaison group, Brown decided a positive action would be to first say thanks to those students who earned appreciation for good grades to-date.

With support from principal Curtis Douglass, the top two to three students in Social Studies, English Language Arts, Physical Education, Career Technical Agricultural Education, Science, and Jr. Reserve Officers’ Training Corps were rewarded with free lunch (from Arby’s, of course), a wall certificate and congratulatory remarks from Douglass, Brown, and Coalition President Sam Massell.

The honorees were: (For English Language Arts) Jasmine Robinson, Genevieve Derrick, Raquel McDaniel, Colleen Wong, Regan Nesbit, Shomari Billings, and Savannah Denton. (For Math) Sinclair Sparkes, Katherine Zabaleta, Wade Kovalik, Kennedy Mallard, Laura Rodgers, Stockton DeLaria, Allias Allen, Caleb Burns, Noah Behan-Sahib, and Fernando Cabello.
