Chastain Park Conservancy executive director to address BBA Feb. 4
McHugh will likely discuss the Conservancy’s current campaign to raise $5.2 million to expand the PATH along the Powers Ferry Road west side of the park and a new 40,000 square-foot playground off Wieuca Road at Chastain Park, which draws more than 2 million visitors a year.
McHugh, who has been executive director for the Conservancy for several years now and has served on the boards of the Center for the Visually Impaired, Christ the King School Advisory Council and the Junior League of Atlanta as the Centennial Events chair.
Originally from Puerto Rico, McHugh is bilingual and holds a Bachelor of Architecture Degree from Syracuse University, a Master of City Planning from Georgia Tech University and a Minor in Historic Preservation from Georgia State University.
McHugh is married to Brian McHugh, who has served for years as the director of transportation and development at the Buckhead Community Improvement District, and she enjoys raising her two sons in Atlanta.
McHugh will surely discuss how members of the BBA can partner with the Chastain Park Conservancy to build a better Buckhead community.
The BBA’s breakfast meetings are held at 7:30 a.m. at The City Club of Buckhead on the 18th floor of the office building at 3343 Peachtree Road NE. The cost of attending is $10 for BBA members who prepay online and $12 if they pay at the door.
