NAPPS meeting to focus on new governance of north Atlanta schools

“North Atlanta cluster facts & figures” will be the discussion topic for the Jan. 27 meeting of the North Atlanta Parents for Public Schools (NAPPS), from 12 noon to 1 p.m. at Garden Hills Elementary School.

The featured speakers will be Atlanta Public Schools Director of Research and Evaluation John D. Keltz and Dr. Curtis Grier, APS Data Strategist, who will discuss test scores, graduation rates and the diverse nature of North Atlanta cluster schools

In an effort to prepare for the transition to north Atlanta schools’ new governance model, the speakers will educate the community on the important facts and figures of the north Atlanta cluster.

This data will help an understanding of the cluster’s strengths and weaknesses, and assist in making educated decisions about how to spend discretionary dollars, address greatest needs and maintain successes.

The speakers will address crucial data points, such as: Test Scores (CRCT and Milestone), CCRPI, graduation rates, family configurations, housing, adult education levels, English language learners, enrollment projections/capacity data and much more.

The entire community is welcome to attend the NAPPS meeting and to bring. Drinks and dessert will be provided.

Garden Hills Elementary is located at 285 Sheridan Dr. NE in Buckhead.
