Cristo Rey high school president to address Buckhead Business group

Bill Garrett, founding president of Cristo Rey Atlanta, a Jesuit high school for the underserved, will be the principal speaker for the Thursday breakfast meeting, Oct. 29, of the Buckhead Business

Association, at 7:30 a.m. at the The City Club of Buckhead.

Garrett is responsible for all components of this college prep program that opened its doors in July, 2014 in Midtown and offers a corporate work study experience for all of its students.

He recently served as the president of the Saint Joseph’s Mercy Foundation, where he was responsible for all fund raising activities for Saint Joseph’s Hospital and Saint Joseph’s Mercy Care Services.

Garrett holds a Masters of Social Work and Masters of Business Administration degrees from Columbia University as well as a Masters in Theological Studies from Spring Hill College.

The BBA breakfast meetings are held at The City Club of Buckhead, which is located on the 18th floor of the Atlanta Financial Center building, 3343 Peachtree Road in Buckhead. Cost of the meetings is $10 for BBA members who pre-register online and $12 at the door. Cost for visitors and guests is $20 and includes continental breakfast and validated self-parking.
