General admission tickets, $50 each, allow access to unlimited food, beer, wine and spirit tastings. Tickets purchased at the door will cost $65 each. VIP tickets, which sold out at $75 each (only 100 were available to start with), add on a VIP reception with celebrity chef demos, VIP gift bag and exclusive tastings and specialty cocktails. Limited to ages 21 and over.

Tickets for the event, which is put on by the Buckhead Business Association, can be ordered in advance by visiting http://www.buckheadbusiness.org/taste-of-buckhead. Gas South is the presenting sponsor for this year’s event at Buckhead’s landmark theatre.

The six new Buckhead Atlanta restaurants participating this year are Gypsy Kitchen, American Food & Beverage, Thirteen Pies, Corso Coffee, Le Bilboquet and desert baker Georgetown Cupcakes.

Other restaurants and food outlets represented include: A Piece of Cake, Davio’s, Nancy G’s Cafe & Neighborhood Bistro, Seasons 52, Buckhead Diner, Holeman & Finch Public House, Bhojanic, F&B Atlanta, Maggiano’s Little Italy, Rock’s Chicken & Fries, Doraku Sushi, Coast Seafood & Raw Bar, Twist Atlanta, Del Frisco’s Grille, and Nox Creek Lounge Hotel Bar.

Ocean Prime Restaurant, which was originally announced for the event, has since closed its Buckhead location.

In addition, breweries and distributors offering attendees samples include Red White & Blue Distributors, Monday Night Brewing, SweetWater Brewing Co., Bombay Sapphire, Speakeasy Spirits, IPV Trading, Virgil Kaine Whiskey, Chateau Elan, American Spirit Whiskey and Diageo.

By the way, there no longer is any parking next to Buckhead Theatre, as The Hanover Company has begun construction work on its high-rise multi-use complex on the former parking lot, another complex of luxury, high-rent apartments and ground floor retail. The closest public parking is at Buckhead Atlanta, two blocks away. The Buckhead Business Association is suggesting that those attending the event use Uber, which reportedly is offering special rates for the event night.
