Five Guys coming to Lenox Square; Anchor Down opens at Lindbergh
The new eatery will reportedly occupy suite 1011, a roughly 640 square foot space left vacant when Cafe Supreme closed last year. The owners of Cafe Supreme subsequently opened wokdragon, an Asian eatery, in the adjacent space.
Another burger place, Checkers, is located on the other side of wokdragon.
A building permit filed with the city of Atlanta said $125,000 will be spent to convert the space for Five Guys, according to the TNT report.
Five Guys is just the latest in a string of new eateries that have opened or will soon open in the mall’s food court named its Fashion Cafe.
Chipotle Mexican Grill, Freshii and a relocated Chick-fil-A are already open while Taziki’s Mediterranean Café is coming soon, according to the TNT report.
Anchor Down opens at Lindbergh
Anchor Down Grille & Lounge is the latest eatery to open at the corner of Morosgo Drive and Piedmont Road near the Lindbergh MARTA station.
Anchor Down occupies the roughly 3,700 square foot freestanding spot that has previously housed a number of failed restaurants including Encore, Atmosphere, Infusion Bistro and Jenean’s Caribbean Bar & Grill.
Anchor is celebrating its “Grand Opening” next today (Sept. 16). A Facebook page describes Anchor Down as somehow related to Anchor Bar, a bar and tattoo shop on Piedmont Avenue near Cheshire Bridge Road.
According to the Anchor Down website, the restaurant has a rather generic menu.
