Perennial Properties plans multifamily mixed-use south Buckhead project

Atlanta-based multifamily developer Perennial Properties has filed permits with the city to raze two existing commercial buildings and a parking deck on Peachtree Road in south Buckhead to build a new multifamily mixed-use project, according to the Bisnow online news service.

Concurrent with that permit, Perennial has filed a land disturbance permit to develop a mixed-use project on the site, located just north of where Buckhead borders Midtown, known to some as SoBu, according to the Bisnow real estate report. Details were not clear in permits.

This move comes months after Perennial purchased the neighboring property at1789 Peachtree Road, home to Hanger Orthopedics. At the time, Perennial’s Jay McGinnity told Bisnow the firm purchased the property to hold for future development.

It is not clear if Perennial intends to develop both parcels concurrently, especially since they’re adjoining properties, Bisnow reported.
