Police seek 3 men who reportedly robbed Uber driver, passengers

Atlanta police are looking for three men they say robbed an Uber driver and his passengers at gunpoint in Buckhead early Thursday morning.

Uber driver Angel Arias had just picked up two people from Cirque, 2160 Monroe Drive NE—just outside Buckhead’s southern border—at approximately 4:30 a.m. when a car began tailing them. The car slightly tapped Arias’ rear bumper, and Arias pulled over to inspect the damage.

That’s when three men came out of the car and robbed both Arias and his passengers—reportedly at gunpoint—WSB-TV reports.

Police told WSB-TV the best way to avoid being caught in a similar situation is to only pull over in well-lit, busy areas and then call police after you’re parked.
