CEO of Lenbrook senior living facility to be BBA breakfast speaker

Chris Keysor, president and CEO of Lenbrook senior living facility in Buckhead, will be the speaker for the Thursday, Aug. 13, breakfast meeting of the Buckhead Business Association at The City Club of Buckhead.

provider, developer and investment banker.

Keysor had served as chief financial officer of Lenbrook since 2010 until his appointment as CEO and had been named president-elect in July 2013 when Becky Webster announced her plans to retire by the end of the year.

He first joined Lenbrook in 2009 as interim CFO, the same year Lenbrook completed its $160 million renovation and expansion, opening 140 new residential living apartment homes.

Keysor began his career as a CPA in the healthcare and life sciences practices of KPMG Peat Marwick, progressing on to become a partner at BDO Seidman in Atlanta, and later became the national principal-in-charge of the senior living practice for LarsonAllen, the largest national accounting firm specializing in the senior living sector.

On the provider side, he was vice president of business development for CareLink Management Inc., a post-acute care subsidiary of a 1,500-bed hospital system, during its expansion into senior living campuses and nursing facilities. During his tenure as a managing director with BB&T Capital Markets healthcare group, he led healthcare providers through tax-exempt financings of major projects.

Keysor is the in-coming chairman for the Education Committee of Leading Age, the national advocacy organization for 6,000 member organizations touching the lives of four million seniors.

He also served on the jury for the 10th Edition of Design for Aging. A joint book produced by Leading Age and the American Institute of Architects.

The BBA Thursday breakfast meetings are held at 7:30 a.m. at The City Club of Buckhead, 3343 Peachtree Road NE Suite 1850. The cost is $10 for BBA members who pre-register and $12 at the door.
