Yebo, 10 Degrees South owner taking over Woodfire Grill spot

BuckheadView recently reported that Justin Anthony would soon be closing his Yebo restaurant in Phipps Plaza. Reportedly he soon will be opening a new steak and seafood restaurant in the former space of the renowned Woodfire Grill restaurant on Cheshire Bridge Road.

The new concept, Cape Dutch Kitchen and Bar, will be a contemporary steak and seafood restaurant, the menu of which Anthony told the Atlanta Business Chronicle in an interview was inspired by a trip to South Africa’s wine country, but would feature global items.

Anthony, who also is the force behind the South African restaurant 10 Degrees South on Roswell Road in Buckhead, recently signed a lease for the Woodfire Grill space, according to a report from Steven Josovitz, vice president of The Shumacher Group Inc.

Woodfire Grill, which nurtured some of the city’s best chefs, including Kevin Gillespie, closed in May. It is not yet known what the name of Anthony’s Cheshire Bridge Road restaurant will be, but we assume it will have a South African flavor to it.

Anthony also is planning to open Biltong Bar at Ponce City Market.
