BuckheadView had learned in May that Spanx employees would begin moving into their new headquarters space in June at the mixed-use development of retail, restaurant, residential and office space and the new sign being placed on the building would tend to confirm that.

Spanx headquarters has been located in the Sovereign building, 3344 Peachtree Road, but is relocating to three floors and at least 86,000 square feet at Buckhead Atlanta. The company has an option to expend its office space to about 100,000 square feet total.

Spanx originally was also going to have a retail store at Buckhead Atlanta, but reportedly decided to nix those plans earlier this year.

Spanx was started by Buckhead entrepreneur Sara Blakely in 2000 and is today a billion dollar company. The namesake shapewear line, Spanx, is available at department stores such as Bloomingdale’s and Neiman Marcus.

The newer Assets brand was launched as a more economical option and is available at stores such as Target and Kohl’s. Spanx also launched a men’s line in 2010 that features boxers and shirts.
