Cyan on Peachtree, towering 23-stories into the Buckhead skyline at 3380 Peachtree Road, celebrated a grand opening on Thursday, June 11, with former Atlanta Mayor and Buckhead Coalition President Sam Massell wielding the scissors for the ribbon cutting.

Cyan on Peachtree, located across Peachtree from Lenox Square mall and next to the Mandarin Oriental hotel and condominiums, offers 329 luxury rental apartments with 22 one-, two-, and three-bedroom floor plan options, as well as two- and three-bedroom penthouses.

The high-rise apartment building is on the site where Dante Stephensen operated the popular restaurant Dante’s Down the Hatch for decades. Buckhead-based Atlantic Realty Partners bought the site from Stephensen in 2013 after about two years of negotiations.

Even before the purchase of the property was finalized, Atlantic Realty Partners presented a plan for a smaller 10-story apartment development of 219 units for the 1.9-acre site. What ended up being built by the partnership of Atlantic Realty and Monogram Residential Trust, Inc. is not only much larger in height and number of apartments, but also higher quality.

Dante Stephensen attended the grand opening event Thursday night and handed Atlantic President and CEO Richard Aaronson a coffee cup, apparently from his former restaurant.

Prior to the ribbon cutting, Aaronson told those gathered inside the lobby area that Cyan on Peachtree is the most luxurious apartment community in Buckhead, in Georgia and in the Southeast.

Following on the heels of Aaronson, Massell talked about the 12,654 multi-family units under various stages of development in Buckhead and said

to Aaronson, “I encourage you and challenge you to have the best management” to ensure the happiness and comfort of tenants at Cyan on Peachtree.

Cyan on Peachtree interiors boast electronic access systems, Bluetooth-distributed audio, quartz countertops, stainless steel appliances, wood-style flooring, washers and dryers, balconies, floor-to-ceiling windows in select units and a yard and grilling station.

Following the ribbon cutting Thursday night, guests were served spirited drinks, catered food and were entertained by two musical groups, one of which was on the second-story outdoor patio. Guest were also given tours of the various types of apartment units available for rent.

You want to see pictures of the building, etc., click on the link at the bottom of the story. We are not the marketing agency for Cyan on Peachtree. We covered the event. However, we have run photos of the building in the past.

Why are the top floors of Cyan different colored glass when compared to the rest of the building?

    3. Jeff Hickam says:

Rafael A. Garcia and Associates Architects, Inc. designed the building. Kudos on a job well done guys.

      • Thanks for the compliment! The different reflectancy glass for the top two floors and the stripe down the center of the front is a reference to the classical base/shaft/capitel proportioning tradition of Western building design. It also marks the transition from the smaller unit plans to the larger penthouse unit plans in the top two floors (see the different balcony arrangements). In designing for-rent residential structures the Design Team must utilize as much low or zero cost design ingenuity as available to achieve more than the basicsolution; budgets for more significant elements are not generally made available to us.

What actions were taken to address the loud pool parties that I believe were organized by a non-resident “party promoter”?
