Swirl Films execs have laptops stolen from cars in Buckhead

A film and television producer at Swirl Films and two of his colleagues are offering a $10,000 reward for stolen laptop computers that contain movie content, which were stolen from their cars in front of the PlanetSmoothie in The Peach shopping center, 2900 Peachtree Road in Buckhead.

Atlanta-based Swirl bills itself as the “No. 1 Urban Film Production Company.” Swirl “produces feature films, comedy specials, and stage performances using the biggest stars in Urban Entertainment!” the company says on its Facebook page.

Tuesday night (May 26) Swirl founder and producer “Eric Tomosunas and two of his colleagues had their cars broken into and each of their laptops were stolen,” Swirl posted Wednesday on its Facebook page. “The three of them are offering a $10,000 reward for the return of these three laptops.”

The Facebook posting asks anyone who comes across laptops with TV and film related content on them—specifically Swirl Films content—to “please email us to determine if it’s one of the very important laptops we’re trying to get back. No interest in pressing charges…just need the computers back.”

Swirl’s website says the company has “over 40 original productions in the past six years, focusing on independent features and multi-camera productions.”
