Buckhead Exchange center redevelopment to begin this month
The plans call for the shopping center to be transformed into a pedestrian-friendly retail and dining center with a portion of the site being demolished to provide space for a paseo that will connect the east-facing storefronts with those facing Peachtree Road and Grandview Avenue.
Demolition is scheduled to begin this month and be completed in phases by early 2016.
New tenants slated to open at Buckhead Exchange include Storico Fresco Alimentari Ristorante e Mercato and YEAH! BURGER.
Storico Fresco Pasta recently finalized a 4,000-square foot lease for a space along Grandview Avenue. The Buckhead Village pasta producer and gourmet food provider plans to open Storico Fresco Alimentari Ristorante e Mercato in July.
Inspired by the unique food traditions of Old Italy, the restaurant and store will serve lunch and dinner, as well as offer prepared foods and grocery items for take-out.
Atlanta-born concept Yeah! Burger also recently leased the 3,200-square foot restaurant space formerly home to Locos Grill & Pub in the soon to renovated shopping center.
Formerly a division of Faison Enterprises, FCA Partners acquired Buckhead Exchange in 2013 from Principal Financial for $15.2 million.
