Auto theft at Buckhead eatery leads to arrests, 4 found cars

A white Mercedes with a tracking app was stolen from the Horseradish Grill restaurant in north Buckhead Saturday night and led Atlanta Police to four vehicles that had been recently stolen from the valet operations at Atlanta restaurants.

Luckily, the owner of the Mercedes had a tracking app on their phone. Atlanta Police tracked down the Mercedes and three other stolen cars in the 200 block of Richardson St. in southwest Atlanta, made an arrest and recovered the four cars.

Police arrested 17-year-old Maricius D. Palmer and a juvenile in connection with the stolen vehicles. They are charged with theft by taking. Palmer and the juvenile are charged with stealing at least four cars from valet stands.

Among the vehicles found and recovered by police was the Range Rover stolen from the valet parking lot at Ecco restaurant on the corner of Cypress and 7th Street in Midtown on Thursday night.
