Buckhead Rotary annual ball raises $50,000, honors Kat Cole

The 2015 Buckhead Rotary Foundation Ball — held on Saturday, Feb. 21, at the Cherokee Town Club — raised $50,000 for the Buckhead Rotary Foundation and honored Buckhead civic
and business leader Kat Cole.
Funds raised by the ball benefit the charities of the Rotary Club of Buckhead. Funds are used for community development, health and disease prevention, youth activities, college scholarship, and early education, and more.
This year’s Foundation Ball honoree was Kat Cole, president of Global Channels Group for Focus Brands. Focus Brands owns six restaurant chains, including Auntie Anne’s, Carvel, Cinnabon, Moe’s Southwest Grill, McAlister’s Deli, and Schlotzsky’s Bakery Café. Prior to her current position, Ms. Cole was president of Cinnabon.
Signature projects of the Buckhead Rotary Club include major support for the construction of the new Ronald McDonald House on Peachtree-Dunwoody Road; Companion Pets for Vets, Multiple Sclerosis Service Day, and many more.
The Buckhead Rotary Club is one of the largest clubs in the state. It meets at 12:15 PM on Monday’s at Maggiano’s.
Buckhead Rotarian Rebecca Johnson was chair of the ball, Jim Floyd was auction chair.
