BBA cancels Feb. 26 meeting; Massell rescheduled March 12

The Buckhead Business Association has cancelled its Thursday morning breakfast meeting for Feb. 25, resulting in a re-scheduling of the annual “State of Buckhead” address by Buckhead Coalition President and former Atlanta Mayor Sam Massell until the BBA’s March 12 meeting.

With weather predictions of possible significant snow accumulations on the ground in Buckhead, the BBA decided to cancel the 7:30 breakfast meeting at The City Club of Buckhead and urge its members to not drive unless absolutely necessary.

The annual “State of Buckhead” address by Massell, 87, is always one of the most popular and well-attended meetings each year. Massell served as Atlanta’s 53rd mayor from 1970 to 1974. In 1988, he became the founding president of the Buckhead Coalition, an invite-only civic organization comprised of local CEOs.

Tickets for BBA breakfasts are $20 for non-members; member tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. For more information or to buy tickets, visit
